Sansom Park, Texas - April 24, 2008 -
Sansom Park Animal Services & Legacy Boxer Rescue need your help to find two missing and possibly abused boxers. In September 2007, three female boxers were part of a huge puppy mill bust. These three girls were transferred to Sansom Park Animal Services and Legacy Boxer Rescue was in the process of getting them into foster homes so they could heal from living their lives as breeding machines.
At Sansom Park, two malicious characters were extremely interested in the boxer girls, Journey, Sissy and Terra. The Animal Control Officer explained that the boxers were NOT available for adoption. She locked up that night, with padlocks and left for the evening. The next morning, all three boxers were gone - no other animals were missing. The padlocks were cut and the thieves used hot dogs to lure them out of their kennels.
The dedicated Animal Control Officer has had her eyes peeled for these girls since the day they were stolen. Miraculously Journey was found on April 14th. She was found at the Sansom Park Police Department as a stray. She came into our care in awful condition and had emergency surgery that after noon. While everyone at LBR is relieved that Journey has made her way home, we are very very worried about Sissy and Terra, the two girls that are still missing.
We will be meeting on Sunday, April 27 at 9:00 and we need your help to comb the area, post flyers and get the word out about these two girls. Thanks to anonymous donators, Legacy Boxer Rescue is offering a $3,000.00 reward for the safe return of Sissy and Terra. Click here for a map to Sansom Park Animal Services.
