CATHY - Mom to Sophie, Samson and Max
I joined the Legacy Boxer Rescue because I enjoy working in rescue and love boxers. Dogs are just much more friendly and just so much less complicated than humans :), and they are just life enhancing. I can't imagine my life without any of them. Legacy is a very well organized and obviously dog centered group that goes out of their way for these dogs. I see people that will jump through hoops to make sure that these dogs are placed in a loving, stable, and safe environment - or we will just hang on to them. I also see people throughout the day working well together to pick dogs up from shelters to take them to their new foster home, etc.
We have an almost 4 month old fawn and black & white mask female boxer named Sophie, a 9 month old red stag male miniature pinscher named Samson, and a 10 month old black and tan male miniature pinscher named Max and 2 female cats.
Boxers are WAY easier to train than min pins, but I love them both and am still participating in a min pin rescue based further south. Anyway, I am learning so much and feel very proud and honored to be a part of such a group of caring and kindhearted people. |
