Other Info :
Hello my name is Nora. I've been on recovery for awhile now. You see I was in sad, sad shape when I came into LBR. When I was at the shelter I was way underweight and also had pyrometra. When the volunteer got me to the vet they had to do emergency surgery on me. I really wasn't healthy enough to have surgery but they had no choice in order to save my life. I had the surgery and came through just fine.
It did take awhile for me to heal and gain weight but I did it! You see I'm on a mission. I have to find a family all my own. My life before, wasn't very kind to me. No one really knows the story but other than I wondered up to some peoples house. They already had their own dog so unfortunately they had to take me to the shelter. But at least I was off the street. The shelter notified LBR about me and as soon as they had a foster home they came and got me. They rushed me to the vet so I could get the care I so desperately needed to save my life. Wow LBR really does care.
After I recovered from my surgery I had to be treated for heart worms :( Just another little bump in my story. I've been on rest time. You see you have to be very, very quite while you recover. Anyway I've almost completed my down time. Sooooo the next step is to find a family that will love me FOREVER AND EVER!
The vet thinks I somewhere between 5 and 6 yrs of age. I do have a little gray in my muzzle but my teeth are sparkling white. The vet thinks my gray is due to the hard life that I've lived. My mom says I'm a fantastic patient. I'm crate trained, no accidents in the house and I know how to use the doggie door. I have fur brothers and sister but due to my quiet time I haven't been able to be out with them. But I do see them through my crate with no issues at all. Due to my being so emaciated I have growled when the other dog approach when I'm eating. It's only because I was starved. My mom can take my bowl away or reach into my bowl. I would probably just need to be feed separate from any other fur kids until I got use to them.
I walk great on leash, ride like a princess in the car, go into my crate without any problems whatsoever and I know how to sit. I know that I deserve more than life has given in the past. My foster mom says that my perfect family is out there and we will turn over every stone until we find them. Isn't my mom the best??? I think so! It's so nice to be loved! I have plenty of love and kisses to share with my new family so why don't you contact my mom and set up a meet and greet with me. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Don't let my age keep you from meeting me. My mom has been doing this for a long, long time and she says that older dogs are the best. You see I'm kinda in between. I'm not a puppy and I'm not a senior so that means I'm just right. Just like Goldie Locks and the Three Bears!!! lol So what do you say? Give me a call, Let's meet.... Much love and slobbery kisses...........Nora
