Nemo is the victim of severe neglect and his boxer spirit has been lost along the way. LBR needs your help to find Nemo's lost boxer spirit and return him to the boxer we all know he can be. Nemo suffers from demodex mange so severe that our volunteers cried upon seeing him the first time. Our vets were afraid to bathe him in fear that the skin on his face would slough off. He also has heartworms, which means Nemo will have to suffer with the mange longer because he has to be treated for the heartworms before the mange. Rather than helping him, his owners coldly surrendered him to animal control to be euthanised, but LBR couldn't let that happen. He is currently not strong enough to undergo heartworm treatment. It is LBR's task to keep him as comfortable as possible until he's strong enough to withstand the treatments he has ahead of him.

He is so depressed that he won't even scratch anymore, and we know he has to be so itchy. He doesn't want to eat or wag his long natural tail. The spark is gone from his eyes, but those same eyes will shine with mischief once again when his spirit is found. He is only 17 months old, and he's obviously never known love or even comfort in his short life. He has a long road ahead of him, and it's full of perils, but with your support and love I know that we can "Find Nemo" together!
